Doug Kostowski, founder of Travel People, has always been very dedicated to travel. On his free time he would plan vacations and missions for his fellow church-goers. In 1982 Doug Kostowski decided to make his passion his profession. Mr. Kostowski signed up for a travel agent course that lasted  13 weeks. After that he started working for a travel agency in Coral Gables, Florida called Vision Travel. Kostowski was promoted to manager and moved the office in front of the University of Miami (UM) in 1988 and changed the name to U Travel. This was a perfect location since there were many students straight from the university who wished to travel.

In 1992, hurricane Andrew destroyed much of South Florida, including the U Travel building. Kostowski then moved his office to the current Kendall, FL location. We have been here since then, and we continue to cater to students, missionaries, families, and all in between.
